Randy Newcomer, Jr. has served as President & Chief Executive Officer since Riverbend’s inception in 2003. Over the past 20 years, Riverbend has built nine (9) traditional energy portfolios and recently raised an inaugural energy transition fund (and closed its first portfolio investment). Seven (7) of the traditional energy portfolios have been fully monetized, most recently divesting a portfolio of non-operated assets in August 2022 for $1.8 billion. As of October 2022, Riverbend possess two (2) robust and growing traditional energy portfolios --- an operated portfolio in the Midland Basin and a minerals/royalty portfolio in the Permian, Williston and Eagle Ford --- and is on the march in building a 7th non-operated portfolio.

Mr. Newcomer holds a Petroleum Engineering degree from Texas A&M University (in 1989) and an Executive M.B.A. from the University of Houston (in 1995). Energy companies that Mr. Newcomer has served and/or serves on the Board of Directors include Riverbend, Ovation Energy, Chalker Energy II & III, Navidad Resources and Parsley Energy. Furthermore, he has served or serves on the Board of Directors of Houston Producers Forum and the Advisory Boards of Yellowstone Academy and Stoney Creek Ranch.

Randy has been married to Leslie (Cannon) Newcomer for 19 years. They have three (3) children, Sydney (17), Holton (15) and Cannon (11), and live in the Memorial area in Houston, TX.
